Simon Perrins joins me in Derry and Toms to discuss Moorcock, art, comics, Tolkien, TV adaptations, role-playing games, tortured poet musicians we adored in our youths and generally go totally fugazi.
Simon is the man behind our banner art, logo, Gerard Arthur Connelly portraits and pretty much our entire visual identity. Follow him on Twitter and check out his store.
Listen to BITR Breakfast in the Ruins Radio on Radio Garden.

I’m sure John Barrowman or Torchwood and Dr Who fame could pull off a decent John Daker. For that matter. BURN Gorman has credibility in both British and American circles. I believe Gorman has definitely pulled off the tortured soul particularly well often enough.

Re: the Wizards, brown, blue, green, gray, white w/Tom Bombadil, Gandalf, etc al. It makes more sense that they’re star or at least lower celestial creatures since they’re nigh immortal and godlike. As we see Gandalf quickly reincarnated. And we know of all known wizards living as long and perhaps longer than the elves, with perhaps more connections with the undying magic of the far off mysterious lands.
